Mary attended Irene's Massage School in Southfield, Michigan. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University, with an emphasis in physiology, pathology and comparative anatomy. She has passed the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam for Michigan (MBLEx). Additionally, she has received certification from the National Board Certification of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

Prior to Mary’s massage therapy career she freelanced as a Medical Court Reporter while launching her own medical research company. Mary claims to have "a passion for nutrition and all things related to health and science!”
